Cassia – Oils of Ancient Scripture

Cassia

Psalm 45: 8 — “All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia, out of ivory palaces, whereby they have made the glad.”

Cassia is one of the most powerful essential oils listed in ancient texts dating back some 1700 years. Dilution is recommended as Cassia is one of those hot oils when applied to the skin.

Cassia is supportive of the immune system. Historically it has been used as a domestic spice and medicinally for support with diarrhea, flatulence, and nausea.

Cassia is part of the same family as the cinnamon plant with the oil being distilled mostly from its bark. A great way to experience cassia is by diluting it 50/50 (one drop of cassia and one drop of carrier oil) and applying to the bottom of the feet.
