Cedarwood

Essential oils usually have roots in past—even ancient—cultures. Cedarwood oil is no different, as Egyptians used the oil in ceremonial rites and North American Indians used it to enhance their potential for spiritual communication.

It is thought Cedarwood can help open the pineal gland, which produces melatonin, a hormone that affects the modulation of wake/sleep. Because of this, Cedarwood’s warm and comforting aroma can be soothing when diffused and a nice support to your nighttime routine.

The oil also has cleansing and moisturizing properties that can make it a great addition to your favorite skin care products. It can be applied topically on your skin and hair to help moisturize and condition.

Cedarwood essential oil is steam distilled from the bark of trees in Morocco and the United States.
