100% Natural Shampoo and Conditioner

09.27.17- Michele Troxler

Plant derived and effective, Young Living’s hair care formulas deliver a rich, aromatherapeutic experience while leaving your hair clean and soft. I love that their shampoos are infused with YLEOs to enhance my skin, hair, and emotions!

Since I am allergic to citric acid. Young Living is practically the only shampoo and conditioner I can use. I have also had the opportunity to try all of the three different shampoo and conditioner sets. Keep reading to find out what set works best with your hair.

Lavender Shampoo and Conditioner

Lavender was the first combo I tried. After a couple weeks of use, my hair appeared healthier already. It added shine, and I think it may have even grown in length more than usual.

The consistency is very thick, so it is good to lather it up with water before adding more.

Nola’s, my dog, skin loves this shampoo. She suffers a lot from skin allergies and doesn’t start scratching and biting for a week after a bath. After we started using this shampoo on her, Brad used Johnson & Johnson. She was scratching immediately the next day, and I knew what he had done!

Copaiba Vanilla Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner

Even though Lavender is quite lovely, I really love the smell of Copaiba. It seems to relax me, which is excellent for when I am thinking of the stressful work load that is to come. I even found myself taking a break from work saying, “I need to relax, take a break, and take a shower.”

This shampoo and conditioner combo did well for the body of my hair. Because of the waves, I try not to brush my hair after it dries; otherwise, the ends frizz out. With this combo, to my surprise, it did not.

Lavender Mint Shampoo and Conditioner

Lavender Mint has the consistency of the Copaiba Vanilla, which I like for long hair. The minty freshness is energizing, while it also help maintain an itchy dry scalp. I have noticed the Peppermint keeps my itchy rashes at bay.

Unfortunately, this shampoo and conditioner combo is made for dryer hair. I usually shampoo and condition every other day, but my roots appear oily after the first day. I have read that this is a detox reaction, and it is cleansing your scalp from all the other crap put in our daily shampoos and conditioners.
